The Department of Commerce is one of the foremost departments of Al Ameen College. It elevated as a post – graduate department in 2001. The department thrives hard for the enlightment of the students and public in a commercial scenario. The department continues to light the candle of knowledge for current and future generations. The department presently holds nine faculty members of which one is the Principal of the college. The department offers various measures in helping the weak students like remedial coaching classes, special attention and care, counseling etc.

As part of the academic schedule both B.Com and M.Com students have to undergo an Industrial Project and Viva voce. The department facilitates provisions to train the students for proper conduct of their dissertation and industrial visits.

The Principal being the faculty of commerce department is also acting as a member of P.G. Board of Studies , M.G. university. The head of the department is also assigned as the deputy chairman of various examinations conducted by M.G. University. The faculty members of the department are very keen in taking up research as well as related activities. As such the department has been awarded four minor research projects among which one has been completed and submitted to the UGC. All faculty members have taken genuine interest in participating , presenting and publishing articles in international and national seminars/workshops organized by various institutions. During the past decades the department has made valuable contribution not only towards the academic matters as well as socially relevant issues. The Alumni of the Department are holding important Managerial and Financial positions in prestigious organizations both in Public and Private Sectors, Banks and Multinationals.
